QUOTES FROM THE PAST

It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried.
     ~ Sir Winston Churchill

Welcome to HCCH!!
ImageHCCH is a Christian organization established to provide support, education, and fellowship for local homeschooling families who are striving to train up their children in the Lord.  Our existence depends on dedicated members who invest their time and resources.

Who We Are
Welcome to Hill Country Christian Homeschoolers.  From the mom sitting on the sofa teaching a young child to read, to the dad working alongside a teenager in advanced calculus, we all need support.  That is why we believe that membership in a support group is a vital part of the home schooling process. HCCH is committed to encouraging and supporting home educators in the Bulverde / Spring Branch / Canyon Lake area.  We serve our membership by distributing information of interest to homeschoolers and by hosting educational and social activities that meet the needs of our membership.

HCCH was founded on the principle of family. We are not a “moms only” support group.  Rather, many of our activities are designed for the entire family. We encourage dads to participate whenever possible. After all, home schooling is a family endeavor.  We are in this together!

How You May Serve
Because we are a volunteer organization, we depend on our membership not only for participation, but also for service.  All events and activities sponsored by HCCH are led by volunteers.  As home educators, we are all busy.  However, “many hands make light work,” so we encourage you to consider how your gifts and talents can be used to benefit HCCH throughout the year.  Whether you are a first time homeschooler or a veteran teacher we value your active participation in HCCH.  We look forward to encouraging you in your home schooling journey.

Our Organizational Structure
Hill Country Christian Homeschoolers is incorporated as a State of Texas non-profit corporation.  Most day to day operations of HCCH are carried out by a primary committee known as the Operations Board.  A separate primary committee governs Secondary Academic Class Day (SAC Day).  Both primary committees serve under the guidance of an Executive Board.
